About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and responsive individual to join our team as a Senior Administrator within the FM Hard Services team. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in supporting the Operational Hard FM Manager with the day-to-day operations, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities will include managing a variety of IT systems and processes to provide essential support, essential for the delivery of key council functions and services. The post holder will coordinate the work within the team to ensure continuous coverage for critical duties, prioritising key areas of work, and provide effective support to our clients.

About the Team

The Hard FM (HFM) service is responsible for the delivery of ‘hard’ facilities management services (e.g. electrical, mechanical, fabric), across the Council’s operational buildings.

HFM is headed up by the Hard FM Operational Manager who manages 18 inhouse personnel; including, 1 Project Manager ,13 engineers (Electricians, Plumbers, multi skilled staff ) and 4 administrators. Responsibilities include:

• Planned maintenance to ensure buildings are legislatively compliant, safe, and fit for purpose
• Undertaking reactive maintenance via requests from the Property Helpdesk system
• Managing a range of accredited maintenance contractors to undertake works as required.

About You

We are seeking an experienced administrator who works well in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to manage their own workload and organise others within the team.

This is a great opportunity to gain local authority experience with a commercial team who manage a diverse building portfolio. Your role will involve working alongside other FM colleagues, such as Corporate Projects, Portfolio Officers and the Compliance Team. Within your team you will work closely with the Operational Hard FM Manager, the engineering staff with a range of skill sets and third-party contractors.
