About Haringey

Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work – the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.

About the Role

As the Senior ASB Enforcement Officer, you will play a key role in promoting community safety and addressing anti-social behaviour across our public spaces and housing estates. Reporting to the ASB, CCTV & Enforcement Manager, you will lead enforcement activities and ensure the effective application of policies and strategies to reduce anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance, and environmental crime. You will work closely with key partners—including local police, community groups, and other council departments—to gather intelligence, support community cohesion, and respond swiftly to breaches of legislation.

In this role, you’ll assist in the strategic deployment of team resources, maintaining a demand-led approach that ensures compliance with the latest legislation. You’ll take the lead in complex investigations, gathering evidence, conducting interviews under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE), and preparing cases for court. Additionally, you’ll be a point of contact for community members, providing advice and managing sensitive interactions with witnesses throughout legal processes.

This role is ideal for a highly organised, proactive individual with a background in enforcement and a commitment to making a positive impact on our communities across Haringey.

About the Team

We are a high performing team, that works collaboratively with a range of internal and external services. The ASB Enforcement team undertakes investigations of high level anti-social behaviour. This includes responding to individual reports and undertaking partnership work in relation to hotspots. The team works collaboratively towards a common goal of finding solutions and achieving successful outcomes, making a real difference for the people in Haringey.

We expect team members to be dependable, someone that the whole team can count on. You should also be flexible in your approach, adaptable and willing to cover absences or capacity issues where necessary and take on additional tasks for the team’s benefit. The team promotes a proactive attitude, innovative and inclusive environment, to enable an effective response in a demanding and challenging environment
