About the Role

This role is responsible for leading the review and analysis of learnings and recommendations from Safeguarding Practice Reviews (including Rapid Reviews). The insights gathered will be used to design, develop, and align multi-agency safeguarding training for the Haringey Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (HSCP). The aim is to equip and inspire individuals and organizations working with children to enhance their safety and promote their welfare.

Additionally, the role includes overseeing the coordination of the HSCP Quality Assurance and Performance Framework, as well as managing the implementation of the HSCP Communications Plan. The post holder will also provide support to the HSCP Business Manager as needed by deputizing in their absence.

About You

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in children’s services within a key agency, including childcare social work, project management, and multi-agency collaboration with sectors such as Health, Education, Police, and the voluntary sector. They must demonstrate the ability to commission and deliver safeguarding training, analyse complex data, and provide expert advice to diverse professional groups. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, alongside a commitment to safeguarding children and promoting equality, are essential.

A thorough understanding of child protection legislation, policy, and practice is required, as well as expertise in forward planning and the delivery of multi-agency workforce training. The candidate should have experience preparing and presenting reports, maintaining professional relationships, and influencing effectively within diverse groups. Awareness of issues related to race, gender, culture, disability, and sexuality is crucial to ensuring inclusive and effective safeguarding practices.
