About the Role

The London Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPHL) supports Directors of Public Health (DPH) across London to improve and protect the health of their local populations and reduce health inequalities. This programme is hosted by Haringey Council, but works across all of London’s 33 Local Authorities.

This exciting role within ADPHL’s Core team, will develop excellent working relationships with London public health stakeholders. They will support a range of themed networks and cross borough initiatives to improve public health practice at regional, sub regional and local level.

About the Team

We are a small matrix-style team, which means that although we all have our own work portfolios, a proportion of our time is spent supporting each other and contributing to office tasks. It is essential that staff are team players and happy to actively engage with their colleagues on a daily basis.

About You

The successful candidate will be a natural collaborator with a great understanding of the how trusting relationships are built and maintained with stakeholders. They will understand the value of bringing people together in order to share and learn from each other. They will have excellent project management skills, and bring energy, drive and innovation to our team.

They will have at least 2 years’ experience of working within local government, the NHS or other relevant setting. They should have a keen interest in the role of public health in reducing health inequalities and understand the value of good communication and partnership work. A qualification or experience in Public Health is essential.
