About the Team
As part of the Children’s Programmes team, you will play a central and significant role in meeting the team’s business objectives and priorities through proactive project and programme management. You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects that are performance-managed, needs-led, evidence-based, and offer best value to provide positive outcomes for children and families in Haringey.
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team to enhance service delivery for children, young people and families in Haringey. The post holder will work on our Transitions programme, which supports the development of a service focussed on supporting 14–25-year-olds as they progress from Children’s to Adults social care.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage projects allocated by the Strategic Programme Lead, ensuring approval at all necessary stages.
- Deliver high-quality projects within budget, on time, and using effective project management approaches and techniques.
- Develop project briefs, create necessary documentation, and define the tasks and activities required to complete each project.
- Prepare and refine business cases that justify projects, and create project plans that optimize delivery and secure the resources required to deliver the project.
- Write and update project specifications, ensuring correct storage and filing.
- Conduct research on options and solutions, gathering evidence and information that justifies the chosen approach.
About You
The ideal candidates will have experience in planning and managing projects, ideally in a public sector environment, and have a good understanding of the methodology and documentation required. The candidates should be effective in working with different teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners. You will also have experience in working in the children’s services sector, preferably in Early Help, SEND, and/or Social Care. Proficiency in utilizing various Microsoft packages and project management tools in a professional setting is a must.
The successful candidates should also demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

- Self-motivation and a can-do attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- An analytical mindset, coupled with the ability to spot meaningful solutions.
