About the role

Haringey Council is currently seeking mobile hygiene operatives to become part of their Parks Services team. We are in search of a dedicated and passionate individual who can bring their expertise to the team. As a mobile hygiene operative, the successful candidate will be excellent at service delivery, communication, and teamwork. Additionally, as a mobile hygiene operative you will promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with current regulations and safety guidelines, particularly regarding all hygiene and maintenance, activities, seasonal works, and traded services. About the team

We are currently looking for individuals who can work effectively in teams of 2-3 people on a day-to-day basis. The hygiene team is required to work five days out of seven each week. As weekends are the busiest times in the park, team members will be scheduled to work on weekends. However, you will have two days off during the weekdays. As a hygiene operative, you will have similar responsibilities as your colleagues, and you will be assigned to cover one of the six zones or Finsbury Park (our flagship Park) that we manage. Each zone has a Senior Operative and up to 2 operatives, and each team leader is responsible for overseeing two zones or The Finsbury Park manager for Finsbury Park. The job involves working in all weather conditions, but our teams are dedicated to making the local environment a pleasant place to visit, no matter what.

About you

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual who is committed to maintaining high standards of the local environment. The ideal candidate must be friendly, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have a versatile skill set to carry out a range of tasks. The role is varied and requires the ability to handle some powered hand tools and a 3.5T vehicle, which necessitates a full clean UK driving license.
