Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work – the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.

About the role

We are seeking two Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOS) to enforce parking regulations within Haringey Borough’s Special Parking Areas and Controlled Parking Zones. Your role will involve issuing Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and carrying out on-street enforcement actions in line with established protocols. As an ambassador for Haringey Council, you will foster positive relations with the public and represent the Council professionally. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy are essential. Join us to contribute to the smooth functioning of Haringey’s parking system and represent the Council with pride. You will join a parking enforcement team that includes civil enforcement officers, supervisors, and managers. These individuals possess extensive knowledge and expertise in relevant legislation, regulations, and procedures.

About you

We are seeking two experienced Civil Enforcement Officers with comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, procedures, and guidance to identify contraventions and carry out appropriate enforcement actions. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of health and safety requirements at work and a commitment to the safety and welfare of the team. You will contribute to enhancing the service provided by the Parking Enforcement Section and ensure excellent customer satisfaction by offering both on and off-street support, ensuring appropriate parking enforcement actions are carried out between 7 am and 1 am, Monday to Sunday.
Qualifications: Level 2 NVQ in Parking Enforcement.
