About Haringey

Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work – the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and driven Project Manager to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of programs and projects. This role offers an opportunity to work across complex initiatives, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and delivery in line with organisational priorities.

You will take responsibility for managing projects from initiation through to completion, developing robust project plans, and ensuring strong governance arrangements are in place. This includes monitoring progress, managing risks and issues, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing timely and clear reporting to senior stakeholders.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple teams and organisations, you will facilitate meetings, coordinate activity, and ensure that delivery remains on track. You will play a key role in supporting decision-making by gathering and analysing information, tracking performance, and providing insight on progress and outcomes.

The role requires a proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities, drive improvements, and ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced environment.

About the Team

The Service Development and Improvement team plays a central role in supporting the successful delivery of Adult Social Care’s complex improvement programme. Working alongside programme leads and operational services, the team provides coordination, analysis and project management to ensure our vital improvement projects are effectively planned, monitored and delivered.

The team brings together data, insight and stakeholder input to inform decision-making, track progress against key milestones, and drive continuous improvement. By maintaining strong governance, supporting programme reporting and working collaboratively across teams and partner organisations, the team helps ensure that improvement activity is well-managed, evidence-based and focused on achieving better outcomes for residents.

About You

You are a confident and capable project management professional who thrives in a fast paced Adult Social Care environment. You bring a blend of strategic insight and hands on delivery, using your expertise to drive service improvement, strengthen performance and deliver projects that make a meaningful difference for residents. Collaborative, solutions focused and highly organised, you build strong relationships, communicate with clarity and lead work that is evidence based, outcomes driven and aligned with organisational priorities.

You will bring:
•    Proven experience delivering end to end projects in Adult Social Care or a similar public sector setting, using recognised project management methodologies.
•    Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to translate service priorities into clear, actionable project plans.
•    Excellent operational delivery skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
•    Expertise in project governance, including risk management, performance monitoring and reporting.
•    Experience developing business cases, project briefs and key documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with organisational frameworks.
•    Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work confidently with residents, partners, senior leaders, providers and multidisciplinary teams.
•    A commitment to co production, ensuring service design reflects local needs and resident experience.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
•    A proactive, solutions focused mindset, with the ability to navigate challenges, influence outcomes and maintain momentum.
•    Strong organisational skills, balancing competing priorities and managing multiple workstreams effectively.
