About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced and dedicated Public Mortuary Team in north London.

Haringey mortuary serves the London Boroughs of Haringey and Enfield.  Each year, the mortuary team carry out an average of 700-800 post-mortem examinations, on behalf of the North London Coroner. 

About you

Post holders must hold a Certificate and or Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology or Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Science (Anatomical Pathology Technology).

This is a varied role blending high standards of post mortem care supporting, pathologist, Police, families and various other professionals along with maintaining all requirements to ensure the HTA regulations are upheld. 

You must be able to demonstrate experience working in an NHS or Local Authority mortuary and be competent to deal with all types of post mortem examinations including high-risk and forensic.

Additionally, you will need to demonstrate an understanding of working in compliance with standard operating procedures and HTA guidelines. 

We are a team that believes strongly in supporting career development, you will be required to assist in the training of trainee mortuary staff.
