About Haringey
Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work – the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.
Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Traffic Enforcement Supervisor to support the effective day‑to‑day delivery of our traffic and parking enforcement services. This role plays a key part in ensuring our operations remain compliant, efficient, and focused on providing a fair and customer‑centred service that supports the borough’s wider goals for safety, sustainability, and effective network management.
Working within Traffic Enforcement service, you will supervise staff responsible for CCTV traffic enforcement, review processes, and operational workflows. You will ensure all activity complies with statutory frameworks and internal policies while maintaining consistently high standards of service delivery, accuracy, and efficiency. You will also help drive improvements, support the introduction of new technology, and contribute to a professional, supportive working culture across the team.
Key responsibilities for the role include supervising the day‑to‑day CCTV Traffic Enforcement team, ensuring effective task allocation, productivity, and consistent standards. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and council policies (e.g., TMA 2004, LLA Acts). Quality‑checking enforcement output, including CCTV evidence packs, operator performance, and accuracy of contravention review. Supporting service improvement and modernisation, including process updates, staff training, and adoption of new systems or technologies.
About the Team
You’ll join the wider Parking Operation team working within a collaborative and committed service that plays a vital role in keeping the borough’s road network safe, accessible, and wellmanaged. Reporting to the Parking Operations Manager, you will work closely with highways, neighbourhood operations, contractors, elected members, local businesses, residents, and partner authorities across London. The team is focused on delivering fair, transparent, and high-quality enforcement while driving innovation, service improvement, and positive outcomes for the community.
About You
We are looking for a confident and motivated supervisor with operational experience in traffic or parking enforcement, ideally within a local authority or other regulated environment. You will have a good working knowledge of the Traffic Management Act, London Local Authorities Acts, CCTV enforcement processes, and relevant statutory guidance as well as proven ability to supervise staff, manage workloads, and maintain high performance within an operational team.
You will be a strong decision-maker and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations, brief staff, and work collaboratively with stakeholders. You will also have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
