About Haringey

Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work – the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.

About the Role

As Team Manager at The Winkfield Resource Centre you will provide strong and compassionate leadership across a vibrant, multi service environment. You will oversee the daily operations of the centre, ensuring adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older people receive high quality, safe, and person centred support.

You will lead a committed staff team, manage rotas and workforce planning, and ensure services run efficiently and in line with statutory, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements. A key part of the role is driving continuous improvement – shaping activity programmes, championing best practice, and ensuring the service remains creative, responsive, and inclusive.

Working closely with families, carers, social workers, health partners, and community organisations, you will strengthen partnerships and promote community participation, ensuring residents have meaningful opportunities to build independence, connection, and wellbeing.

About the Team

Our Day Service is powered by a warm, passionate, and highly skilled team dedicated to supporting adults to lead purposeful, fulfilling lives. The Winkfield Resource Centre offers a wide range of person centred activities, therapeutic opportunities, and community based experiences designed to enhance independence, choice, and dignity.

We take pride in being an inclusive, welcoming, and creative environment where staff collaborate, innovate, and bring energy to everything they do. As our service continues to grow and evolve, you will join us at an exciting time—helping shape new opportunities, strengthen practice, and support the next stage of our development.

About You

You are an inspiring and confident leader with experience managing services in an in house provider, care, or building based resource setting. You thrive in dynamic environments and are skilled in prioritising, problem solving, and guiding teams through busy daily operations.

You will bring:
•    Experience managing rotas, staffing levels, and service delivery in a similar setting
•    Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work under pressure
•    A commitment to safe, high quality, person centred practice
•    The ability to support and develop staff, managing performance with clarity and compassion
•    Experience in delivering or overseeing activity programmes and inclusive community engagement
•    A values led approach—promoting independence, dignity, equality, and inclusion for all
You will be motivated by the opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact on residents’ lives and to lead a team that is proud of the difference they make every day.
