About the Role

We are looking for a full time Early Years Officer who is highly creative, passionate, inspirational, and energetic to confidently take the lead in developing and motivating a high level of care, learning, play and education for children aged 2 years to rising 5-year-olds.

We are seeking an experienced, committed and enthusiastic room leader to join the dedicated team with a solution focussed approach to challenges. This a key role within the nursery, responsible for leading a room, providing day to day coaching to ensure that all staff are working towards a high standard.

Stonecroft is a Haringey Council maintained Nursery that has been rated “Outstanding” twice. Stonecroft is an innovative nursery with friendly, hardworking and motivated staff who provide childcare and education for families in our diverse local community. Stonecroft has an exciting Reggio inspired environment for children to grow and reach their full potential.

About You

– Any applicants will require a level 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development or hold an equivalent qualification.
– Have experience with working with young children and be a confident key person with solid knowledge of child development, the EYFS, individual learning styles and how to support families through guidance, empathy and partnership working
– Be an inspirational role model with at least 3 years’ experience leading a team
– To be an effective leader, having the confidence to be being available to pause, support, reflect and enhance practice on the spot as well as through as part of mentoring others
– You will have the ability to listen to children’s voices, observe and support children’s individual lines of enquiry. 
– To be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, building positive and respectful relationships, contributing to a positive team culture where everyone feels valued
– To be able to promote excellent practice through providing first class childcare and education. 
– Take responsibility of your role and demonstrate accountability in everyday practice
– Understand your responsibility in maintaining a safe consistent high-quality environment for the children as required by the EYFS statutory requirement.
– Have a strong commitment to the welfare of all children. 
– Have a high level of competency in literacy skills and writing skills.
