About the role
Are you an experienced leader passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and dementia? We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Service Manager to lead our community provisions, including the Shared Lives Scheme and day opportunity services across multiple hubs.
- Drive service innovation and redesign to meet strategic priorities.
- Lead and inspire a large, diverse workforce, ensuring excellent practice and outcomes.
- Manage significant budgets and ensure value for money.
- Champion co-production, safeguarding, and strengths-based approaches.
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, providers, and the NHS to reduce health inequalities.

About the team
The team is made up of passionate professionals committed to co-production, safeguarding, and promoting independence. We work collaboratively with service users, carers, providers, and commissioning colleagues to design and deliver high-quality, person-centred services. Our ethos is rooted in partnership working—both internally and externally—ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and health and social care best practice.
With over 50 staff across several locations, we foster a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement. About you
An emotionally intelligent leader with a strong commitment to service delivery, working on-site three days per week to ensure operational excellence. You will have a minimum of two years’ experience of working in similar client front facing services, particularly with individuals with learning and physical disabilities. You will have financial acumen being skilled in managing a budget with precision and accountability.
You will be able to demonstrates exceptional ability to oversee day-to-day performance, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high standards across all council day services. Adept at prioritising competing demands, making strategic decisions under pressure, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
