Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Salary: Scale 6 : Currently FTE £35,520 pa to be pro-rata
Hours of work: 36 hours per week Monday to Friday, – Term Time Only
Contract Term: One year fixed term initially with potential to extend
Closing Date: Friday 20th March 2026
Interviews: Monday 23rd March 2026
Start date : To start as soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint a motivated, creative and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to complement the work of our teachers. The post will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes. You will work closely with teachers and will assist them in assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.
You should have experience of working in a primary school learning environment and have confirmed HLTA status. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and relate well to both children and adults.
We are seeking someone who is committed to working within the framework of the school’s policies and ethos and who will contribute to the development of our creative curriculum.
