Position: Teaching Assistant

Salary: Scale 4-Scale 5 (Based on experience)

Hours of work: Part Time (35 hours) considered – Term Time Only

Contract Term: Permanent

We are looking for a talented Teaching Assistant to join our team.

You will be enthusiastic, have great interpersonal skills, enjoy working as part of a team and want the very best for our students. The successful candidate will have good literacy and numeracy skills and will be able to communicate effectively with children and parents.

We currently have four very talented teachers on our staff team, who started with us as Teaching Assistants. We are always keen to develop individuals who show commitment and promise.

We also welcome graduates who may want to get direct classroom experience, working as an assistant, before heading back into full time study for a PGCE or an Initial Teacher Training route. We have had several of our previous teaching assistants follow this route into teaching.

We are, of course, equally welcoming to those who are content to make a valued contribution to our children as a teaching assistant, without going on to become a teacher. Our entire village raises our children.
