About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Haringey Council’s Repairs Team by ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of high-quality, customer-focused maintenance stores materials and plant services. This role is crucial in facilitating the Repairs Service to deliver exceptional repair services through the effective management and distribution of plant and materials.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and utilising both manual and computer-based systems to ensure smooth operations, strict adherence to financial regulations, standing orders, and stores procedures concerning the issuance and return of materials and plant, general indoor and outdoor housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment, and the ability to drive a vehicle, with a full UK driving licence required.

About You

Logistics and Stores Expertise: You have proven experience in managing mobile stores operations, including the efficient supply and delivery of materials and plant to various locations.
Inventory Management Proficiency: You possess a strong understanding of inventory control, stock management, and data entry, ensuring accurate records and optimised stock levels.
Budget and Target Management: You are adept at managing budgets, achieving targets, and planning inventory to meet operational needs.
Procurement and Purchasing Skills: You have a solid grasp of the entire purchase process, from purchase order management to supplier coordination, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
Communication and Collaboration: You excel at communicating effectively with suppliers, senior storekeepers, and team members, facilitating smooth operations and efficient stock replenishment.
Health and Safety Compliance: You are committed to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Technical Proficiency: You are comfortable using technology and communication systems to achieve operational objectives.
Driving Ability: You hold a full UK driving license and possess the ability to drive a vehicle, enabling you to perform mobile store duties effectively.
Organisational Skills: You are highly organised and able to manage a wide range of tasks.
