Position: School Meals Supervisory Assistant

Salary:£5,583.53 per Annum

Hours of work: 7.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, term time only)

Contract Term: Fixed Term

Closing Date: 27th February 2026 12.00pm       

Interviews: Week beginning 2nd March 2026

Start date :  13th April 2026 to 11th April 2027

We have a vacancy for a School Meal Supervisory Assistant to support children at lunchtime Monday to Friday between 11:45am-1:15pm.

The position involves supporting the children at lunchtime, supervising their meals and the mid-day break to make sure they have a positive eating and play experience. We are looking for candidates who are active, enthusiastic, creative, flexible and excellent team members. Experience of working with primary age children either in a voluntary or paid capacity is desirable. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly and sensitively with both children and adults.

The successful candidates will be working under the direction of our Pastoral Care Lead and the Senior Meal Time Supervisor.
