About Haringey
Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work – the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.
Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of Haringey’s most ambitious regeneration programmes—Selby Urban Village. As Regeneration Manager, you will be the strategic lead responsible for delivering a £110m mixed-use, community-led development that will transform the Selby Centre and surrounding area.
You’ll be the single point of accountability for the programme, ensuring it delivers on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The role involves working across departments and with external partners including the Selby Trust, developers, the GLA, and community organisations. You’ll oversee governance, commercial strategy, stakeholder engagement, and risk management, ensuring the project delivers real benefits for residents.
About the team
Be part of a dynamic and ambitious team driving transformational change across Tottenham. Our Estate Renewal team leads some of London’s most exciting regeneration programmes—including the £110m Selby Urban Village, the renewal of Broadwater Farm, and the long-term transformation of Northumberland Park.
We work at the heart of community-led development, delivering new homes, public spaces, and facilities that reflect the needs and aspirations of local residents. You’ll collaborate with passionate colleagues, strategic partners, and empowered communities to shape inclusive, sustainable neighbourhoods.
About you
You’re a strategic thinker with a proven track record of leading complex regeneration or capital investment programmes (£50m+), ideally within a local authority or public sector setting. You bring deep knowledge of urban regeneration, housing delivery, and public-private partnerships, and you’re confident managing political and community relationships in high-profile environments.
You’ll have excellent leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills, alongside strong commercial acumen and experience managing major budgets. You understand governance, procurement, and project management methodologies, and can communicate complex ideas clearly to a range of audiences.
You’re comfortable managing multi-disciplinary project teams and external consultants, and you will be skilled in ensuring alignment across a wide range of stakeholders.
