About the role
We are looking for a determined occupational therapist with experience in team management; with demonstrable skills of providing clear leadership and guidance, ability to motivate a multi-disciplinary team whilst ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery. Often working under pressure, you will be a calming influence as you manage the workloads of your team, carry out professional supervision, and work jointly with the senior leadership team to achieve successful implementation of initiatives. Experience in major adapts and complex moving and handling for both adults and children and critical for this role.
The role is responsible for management of a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational therapists, Occupational Therapy assistants and apprentices, Hearing impairment officer, visual impairment officer, and equipment contract manager. The team serve the most vulnerable and complex adults and children across the borough and sits externally to that of the OT duty team and reablement service.
About you
Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration. Significant experience working within paediatric and adult OT services. Proven and demonstratable leadership and management skills within a health and social care setting. Clear communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
