About the Role

The role of the Leasehold Service Charge Manager is crucial in ensuring that annual service charges are calculated accurately and comply with legislation. This involves ensuring that all relevant documentation supports the service charges. Additionally, the manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to leaseholders, particularly when explaining service charges and handling any disputes that may arise. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively, the Leasehold Service Charge Manager plays a vital role in maintaining transparency and fairness in the management of service charges.
Furthermore, the incumbent will be integral to the Project Team, contributing to the implementation of the Service Charge module in NEC (Northgate), highlighting their role’s broader impact on the organisation’s strategic initiatives.

About the Team

As a vital member of the Homeownership Team, the Service Charge Manager holds a key role with direct responsibility for overseeing the line management of four Service Charge Officers. In this capacity, they play a crucial part in the effective coordination and supervision of the team, ensuring the seamless execution of duties related to service charge management. This managerial role encompasses the guidance, support, and leadership necessary to uphold operational excellence within the team, contributing to the overall success of the organisation’s homeownership initiatives.

About You

We are in search of a candidate who embodies the qualities of a customer-focused service charge specialist with a proven track record in residential leasehold management. The ideal candidate will excel in key areas, including delivering exemplary front-line services, demonstrating proficiency in service charge calculation and invoicing processes, and showcasing valuable experience in dealing with and resolving disputes. We are seeking an individual who not only possesses expertise in these critical aspects but also demonstrates a commitment to prioritising customer needs. The desired candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall efficiency of residential leasehold management.
