About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within Housing Services and Building Safety Compliance, who are looking to recruit highly experienced fire risk assessors to join our in-house team of fire safety professionals to carry out type 1 and type 3 fire risk assessments on residential properties delivering fire class services to our residents. Manage and audit contractors and consultants fire safety standards to ensure compliance. Contribute to monitoring of existing and new development of processes and procedures to facilitate the management control of fire risks. You will be supported with continuing professional development. The team comprises of fire risk assessors, fire safety surveyors and compliance support officers.

About the team

You will be joining a dedicated team that collaborates with the wider organisation to ensure the safety of both the organisation and its residents, minimizing the risk of fire hazards. Reporting to the Fire and Asbestos Manager, you will work alongside a Fire Programmes Manager, a Senior Asbestos Surveyor, and two additional Fire Risk Assessors, contributing to a comprehensive approach to fire safety and risk management.

About you

To be successful in applying for this role, you must have experience in conducting fire risk assessments for various residential properties, be a member of a relevant professional body such as IFE, IFSM, or CABE, and possess extensive knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order, Approved Document B, and British Standards. Additionally, a solid understanding of different construction methods and the application of both active and passive fire safety measures is essential.
