West Green Primary is a happy, vibrant and popular school that proudly sits at the heart of the community we serve. We are diverse in every respect meaning that we can celebrate the whole world within our walls. We are proud of our inclusive ethos, and we are looking for teachers who are also excited by this and have a genuine desire in making a difference to the lives of every one of our children.

Working at West Green is brilliant and rewarding but isn’t for everyone. As a one form entry school with all that being an inner-city school in the current economic climate brings, all of our staff need to be committed to rising to and breaking through a range of challenges. We work really hard to create equitable chances and outcomes for our children. We value building good relationships with our families, working closely with our parents and carers. We ensure our curriculum is ambitious, reflects our community and is enhanced by regular trips, visitors and themed days and weeks to create happy memories and learning that will last a lifetime. Our strengths have been identified in our recent Ofsted report found here: https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/21/102115

If this motivates you, please apply to West Green and be supported by an amazing team, incredible children and an engaged community in a school where a warm family atmosphere, high expectations and an emphasis on fun go hand in hand.

This is a great opportunity for any teacher who:

  • Is highly motivated, loves teaching and enjoys making learning fun and adapted for all children
  • Demonstrates optimism about children and expects the highest possible outcomes
  • Is reflective, open to feedback and strives for continual self-development
  • Communicates and works well as a member of a dedicated and hard-working team

In return, West Green can offer you:

  • A passionate, driven and successful school, committed to achieving the highest progress for each child
  • A creative and flexible team, with a hands-on SLT, who all work to ensure you feel well supported in your role
  • A strong commitment to your professional development and career management
