Position: Administrative Assistant

Salary: : Scale: 4 points 7-10 £29,346-£30,630 per annum to be pro rata  

Hours of work: 25 hours x 40 weeks per annum (Mondays to Fridays 9am-2pm)

Contract Term: Permanent

Closing Date: 9am Thursday , 24th April 2025

Interviews: will be held on Tuesday, 29th April 2025

Start date : May 2025

We are seeking to appoint a Administrative Assistant to join our friendly, supportive and busy office team.

The main duties include:

  • Admissions and Secondary Transfers
  • Nursery Funding
  • Whole school Assessment
  • Data entry
  • Census returns

Building excellent relationships with parents/carers, students, staff and external agencies is an essential part of this role and the ideal candidate should have a flexible and positive approach and should be able to deal with a wide ranging workload in order to support the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Effective use of ICT packages
  • Use of relevant equipment/resources
  • Good  keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
  • Ability to identify own training and development needs and co-operate with means to address these
  • Knowledge of Children Centres
