About the Role

The Accommodation Assistant Project Manager will support and enable the Council’s change and transformation corporate programmes via the project management of office relocations, small refurbishments, property vacations, furniture provision/disposal projects, and general property moves, as part of the Council’s property review and asset rationalisation projects.

You will be part of the Strategic Asset and Accommodation Team and in this role you will be able to demonstrate a wealth of experience in the successful delivery of office move projects or similar working effectively across a range of stakeholders to provide customer focused services including the commissioning and managing of consultants and construction contractors, ensuring that works are delivered effectively.

About You

You’ll bring strong project delivery experience, particularly in office moves, refurbishments or similar environments, and you’ll be comfortable managing multiple workstreams at pace. You will also have a practical and solution focused approach to coordinating stakeholders and ensuring that moves and projects remain on time, within scope and on budget.

You will also demonstrate:
• Proven experience using CAD and/or design software, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience planning, managing and delivering low to medium value and complexity projects, ideally from inception to completion.
• A solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies, with knowledge of PRINCE2 or similar techniques.
• Strong understanding of space planning principles and workplace compliance requirements, including Workplace Regulations.
• Experience working with multi disciplinary project teams across IT, contractors, service users and property colleagues.
• Ability to manage budgets, prioritise tasks and coordinate activity across complex programmes of work.
• Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to engage and support stakeholders during periods of change.
• Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider delivery team.
