Position: Kitchen Assistant

Salary: NJC, Pay point 2 –  £28617per annum to be pro rata 

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 10:15am to 2.00pm 18.75 hours per week – Term Time Only

Contract Term: Fixed Term (1 Year Contract, with the possibility of extension)

Closing Date: Sunday 10th May 2026

Interviews: Week Commencing 18th May 2026

Start date :  To start as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant to join our excellent school team.

You will be:

  • An experienced Kitchen Assistant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Assisting in the preparation of school lunches for the whole school taking into consideration allergies and other dietary needs.
  • Maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
  • Able to support the School’s emphasis on pupils’ health and wellbeing
  • Complying with Food Safety legislation
  • Working with our Head Chef to meet deadlines
  • A warm person with a good sense of humour and strong team ethics
