The youth service includes a universal youth work offer delivered from Bruce Grove and Wood Green localities, targeted youth support providing whole family assessment/intervention and a raising participation age team supporting young people who are not in education, training and employment.

About the Role
Haringey Youth Service is recruiting to a Youth Voice & Participation Coordinator role.
Our vision is for young people in Haringey to be inspired, included and empowered to influence decision making about matters which impact upon the lives of young people and the communities in which they live.
This is an exciting new position which has been created to lead the development and implementation of a universal framework informed by best practice regarding the participation of young people. The framework will be utilised by services across the children’s services directorate, council and will be available to community services for young people. This will further support services to plan, develop and evaluate their own participation practices with young people.
This role will also lead the planning, delivery and evaluation for a range of children’s services led youth participation programmes such as a new Haringey Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Youth Forum & Haringey Youth Council.
This is a fixed term role until April 2023 with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
We are looking for an individual who has an unwavering commitment to developing and delivering excellent services for young people, with the vision and drive to continuously improve outcomes for young people and the skills to lead an innovative participation offer. Specific skills and experience are important to us, as is your attitude and your incredible passion and commitment to working collaboratively to make a positive difference in the lives of young people and communities.
