Salary: SO1, £31,122 – £32,112 per annum

The Service

This is an exciting time to join a forward-thinking Council that is focused on improving the lives of its residents and local business owners.   We have a created a number of new posts that will play a crucial role in keeping our streets and public spaces clean, managing the Council’s waste contract and improving our recycling rate. 

About the Role

The Waste Monitoring Officers will support the progression and delivery of recycling, waste and cleansing initiatives in line with Council’s Strategies and Services. The job will involve the assistance of monitoring of the Council’s Contract performance for waste collection, street services and other ancillary services.

As well as monitoring the services, the candidate will be a point of contact for residents and will investigate and resolve their queries. Therefore, we are seeking an individual who is comfortable working independently outside of an office environment as the role will involve on site monitoring as well as promotional events. In addition, the capability to work flexible hours with an enthusiasm to do so will be required as some early mornings, weekends and evenings, will be necessary
