About The Service

The Assessment Service consists of 4 team managers, 4 senior practitioners, 16 social workers and 4 Business Support Officers. The workforce is very stable, motivated, committed and enthusiastic. The service has manageable caseloads at approximately 16 children per social worker currently with consistently strong assessment timeliness performance of 95% in 45 days. The service has strong relationships with MASH, Early Help and the wider partnership.  We are now looking for Team Managers to continue the improvement journey recognised by Ofsted in our 2018 and 2019 inspection. 

About You

We are looking for new or experienced social workers, to deal with assessment of need and risk. You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring timely and effective decision making, case allocation and effective multi-agency working.
  • Empowering and inspiring: to get the best outcomes for children.
  • Being an active member of the group.
  • Accountability for your performance to achieve excellence.
