About the role

The role involves working in a dedicated Safeguarding Team and supporting a Duty Team that undertakes statutory social work intervention by providing information and advice; screening, training, assessment; developing protection / support plans; and conducting enquiries to decide what action in needed to help and protect a vulnerable adult that meets the Care Act Section 42 safeguarding criteria. The goal is to protect a person’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.

About you

You will have working knowledge of key legislation within the health and social care sector especially the safeguarding statutory guidance as set out in the Care Act 2014.

You will also have working knowledge of health and social care frameworks and the impact on practice.
