About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Internal Communications Officer to join our Communications Team and help communicate the changes and support our staff through continuous change. You’ll work closely with our senior managers and our change and transformation programme leads, as well as with colleagues across communications, to shape key messages. You will also be instrumental in the development and delivery of an internal communications strategy.

About the Team:

The council’s communications team is responsible for delivering the council’s internal and external communications – from staff newsletters to our flagship residents’ magazine, Haringey People.

The communications team work together on key campaigns aligned to support the council’s key priorities. We work closely with colleagues across the council, and support Cabinet Members in their portfolio areas. 

 The communications team is made up of four areas:

  • Media and PR
  • Strategic Communications and Campaigns
  • Placemaking and Housing
  • Commercial and Operations

 

About You:

Ideally, you will be a proactive, innovative and experienced internal communications professional who can support the successful delivery of the council’s transformation programmes and culture change work. We need someone with a personal and professional demeanour who can gain confidence and respect; someone who is creative, innovative and enthusiastic. This role will involve active working with a number of colleagues across the communications team, the wider council and stakeholders – so a strong and collaborative approach is essential.
