Work Location:Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, N22 7TR (Hybrid working) 
Hours per week: 36 hours per week  
Contract type: 1 year Secondment/ Fixed Term Contract

About the role

Are you passionate about making a difference for children and/or vulnerable adults improving their outcomes? Are you experienced in the collection and analysis of data? Have you got experience of supporting others to use data to focus on outcomes, impact, and service improvement?  

If yes, then you can make a real difference in Haringey. The Performance Team has a wide and varied remit ranging from completing key statistical returns, reporting performance to senior officers and Members, and supporting service improvement through performance management.  

We have a vacancy in the Corporate Performance and Business Intelligence team aligned to supporting our Children’s and Adult Social Care Services in a senior information analyst role. This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated data analysts working closely with all departments and providers in the local area to improve services and outcomes for some of our most vulnerable residents and families.  

A key component of the role is maintaining effective performance management and reporting systems providing support to business units to monitor progress towards meeting national and local targets. The role is of a senior nature which means that the analyst will be the lead on specialised projects and will be tasked with ensuring that meaningful analysis sits at the heart of decision-making. The post holder will use analysis and insight in the delivery and review of strategic plans, objectives, outcomes, and targets to inform and support policy development. The role will work closely with the performance manager and other senior analysts in the team and will be an expert user of Social Care business systems and reporting software. Haringey’s social care system is Mosaic, but we are in the process of implementing Liquid Logic. The council is moving to Power BI as the main corporate reporting tool although we also use Business Objects.

About You:

This post is intended for an ambitious and passionate individual with a “Can Do” attitude who wants to hone their skills in a high profile, corporate team. The post holder will be reviewing, analysing, and challenging performance to provide evidence-based information meeting identified, current and future needs mostly relating to social care data. They will be expected to make use of infographic and data visualisation techniques to achieve this including utilising Excel, Power BI and other reporting tools.  

We are looking for someone who: 

  • has excellent technical and analytical skills.
  • has experience in social care performance management.
  • has experience of reporting and presenting complex information for a range of audiences.
  • has experience of successfully using data and performance intelligence to drive service improvement.
  • has rigorous attention to detail and the ability to process large datasets.
  • is good communicator and can build strong working relationships across a range of stakeholders.
