About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Revenues team at the London Borough of Haringey during a period of transformation. As a Court Officer you will represent the council at Magistrates court, Valuation Tribunal and work closely with legal teams. In addition, you will prepare and authorise charging orders and insolvency cases. The Court Officer roles are a recent addition to the service and therefore, you will have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues to build on processes in respect of the role.

About you

You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with a minimum 5 grades A-C including English and Maths. You will need to be confident in your use of IT systems, including Word and Excel as you will need to upload reports and attachments as well as update our records in several databases. The ideal candidate will have previously worked in Council Tax and Business Rates environment, have knowledge of legislation and procedures, and be experienced in front-line customer contact.
