About Haringey
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Performance and Data Manager to lead on the monitoring, analysis, and reporting within the CYP Commissioning and Programmes team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining all required data sets, supporting them to design services and undertaking complex analytical tasks.
About the Role
The successful candidate will lead on the monitoring, analysis and reporting of all performance indicators and present findings to a variety of audiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the monitoring, analysis and reporting of all performance indicators related to the strategic deployment of children.
- Keep track of all the information needed for the Children Commissioning Service to help design services.
- Help keep an eye on all the services provided by Children Strategic Commissioning to make sure they are meeting the requirements of their contracts.
- Work together with other Council services to create and maintain a system that works for everyone in the Commissioning Service.
- Ensure the tools used to measure how well services are doing are used effectively, to help with regular reviews of performance.
- Manage all the databases and systems that Children’s Commissioning Service uses.
- Keep confidential information safe and follow rules about how to share it with others.
- Manage a team and ensure they are producing good quality work.
About the Team
As a Performance and Data manager, you will be reporting to the Strategic Business commissioner within the Commissioning and Programmes team, within Children’s Services. This is a new team within the directorate, and it has been established to ensure that our commissioning and programme activity encompasses:
- Strategic thinking: The service values those who are able to think strategically and provide management with innovative ideas and input for the ongoing improvement of the service.
- Collaborative working: The service operates with a “One Children’s Commissioning” approach, working together with external partners to achieve our objectives.
- Performance management: We place a strong emphasis on performance management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality commissioned contracts and services that are evidence-based and offer best value.
- Cultural change: We are driving cultural change and new ways of working to ensure that the service aligns with corporate and service priorities, plans and objectives.
- Continuous improvement: The service strives for continuous improvement, regularly reviewing contracts and provision to identify opportunities for change and improvement.
- Positive outcomes: The team is dedicated to delivering positive outcomes to children and families in Haringey and ensures that all decisions and activities are needs-led and evidence-based.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience in monitoring, analysing and reporting performance indicators related to strategic deployment of children or similar fields.
- The ability to manage and organize data to support service design and to ensure contract requirements are being met.
- Experience in collaborating with other teams or services to create and maintain effective systems for the efficient delivery of services.
- Good understanding of performance evaluation tools and techniques, and how they are used to inform regular performance reviews.
- Proficiency in managing databases and systems.
- Excellent communication skills and knowledge of GDPR and other information security protocols.
- Proven ability to manage teams and ensure high-quality work.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level 3 or 3 year’s experience in a performance/management/information analysis setting.
- Experience of working in a local government or another multi-functional organisation.
- Experience of working as the lead analyst within a team environment.
