Pendarren is a large country house set on the side of Sugarloaf Mountain in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The 16 acre site lies in the Grwyne valley with stunning views across the Usk valley. The Centre is well equipped to deliver a range of on and off site adventurous activities and is close to the National Park experiencing nature at first hand. The personal development and environmental themed courses are delivered by qualified and experienced teachers of outdoor education in a friendly and homely setting. We are excited to be recruiting a new experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic Outdoor Education Centre Manager, who is committed and passionate to see our Centre through its next phase of development.

You will be responsible for the safe running of the centre, support growth and get involved in the day-to-day management, bookings, programme development and delivery at Pendarren. We are looking for someone who is absolutely committed to the benefits of positive activities and outdoor education. You will be dynamic, dedicated and have successful experience in a similar setting. You will have strong administration and interpersonal skills, management experience and a passion for designing, organising, and delivering varied outdoor education group work activities. You will be or will have been a successful leader in a similar setting and be able to evidence the positive impact of your leadership on the performance of your team. You will have an excellent understanding of safeguarding and understand the responsibilities of a DSL or DDSL and the particular responsibilities in a residential setting.
