Haringey’s vision for the future is one of sustainable growth, in housing and jobs and on helping our residents and businesses take advantage of that growth.

We have got huge ambitions for Haringey. As the shape of local government continues to change, we are determined to rise to the challenge and find new ways to ensure that our residents enjoy the best opportunities in life. Working at Haringey gives you the opportunity to play a part in meeting those ambitions on behalf of everyone who calls the borough their home.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join a very busy Lettings Team,  allocating Council properties and nominate tenants to Registered Providers properties through either choice based lettings or direct lets, to households on the Council’s Housing Register.

To provide a high quality lettings service; ensuring that full and prompt use is made of all social housing nominations, and that these are allocated appropriately and in line with Haringey’s policies and relevant legislation.

To provide a responsive permanent accommodation lettings service, which is aligned with lettings of other property types and incorporates the individual needs and circumstances of customers (where these can be met).

About you

The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in allocations and experience of working within a housing environment and have a good understanding of local housing policy. Good IT skills essential, as well as written and communication skills, good clear record keeping.
