Salary: £30,003 – £31,440 per annum (Pro rata)
Contract Type: 18-Month Apprenticeship (36 Hours per week)
Monday to Friday, times to be agreed with your manager.
Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship, Level 3 (A level) in Business Administration
Closing Date: Sunday 23rd June 2024
Interview Date: July 2024 (dates to be agreed closer to the time)

We are excited to be recruiting a new apprentice Early Years Quality Improvement Officer to monitor and track childcare places in Haringey and support in the processing of early years free entitlement funding to Childcare Providers.

The roles will provide administrative support, including collating, inputting and processing childcare data, dealing with enquiries from providers and parents as well as supporting projects and strands across the service.

About the Team

Our Childcare Sufficiency Team ensures that there are sufficient childcare places across the local authority. This experienced team are highly regarded in Haringey and sit in the wider Early Years Advisory Team which has strategic oversight of early years priorities and development in Haringey. Working in Early Years is all about making a difference to children’s learning outcomes and giving them the best start in life. The team support families to take up their entitlement offers and monitor the childcare market ensuring that there are adequate places for children to take up the offers.

About You

The role requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage and collaborate with others. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for clear and effective interaction with colleagues, families, and other professionals. The ability to work constructively as part of a team is important, along with a solid understanding of the roles and responsibilities within Early Years settings.

Good numeracy skills are also necessary for handling various tasks. Maintaining accurate records and processes is a key responsibility, which requires proficiency in IT systems. The role demands someone who can ensure that all documentation and data management tasks are performed efficiently and accurately.
