About the Role
We are looking for an experienced community worker to work in the Seven Sisters Ward. The successful candidate will focus on working with the community to improve coordination and delivery of key services in the area.
This includes encouraging a culture of collaboration across various services and key external agencies, within the remit of information sharing protocols and to work closely with residents on estate improvement projects and other initiatives. The aim is to increase resident satisfaction and provide joined-up services that meet residents’ needs through a close working relationships with Property Services, Income Teams, Tenancy Team, Estate Services, Resident Engagement, Community Safety, Social Services, Police, etc.

You will be part of a brilliant and supportive team who work together to deliver on our corporate objectives. The Council wants to establish a closer relationship with our tenants and leaseholders and build on our strong track record of engaging residents to help shape our housing services. Our housing management services sit at the heart of this vision. We want to develop new solutions and encourage innovation to work with residents to ensure that our services reflect their priorities and the standards they expect.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Community worker who has experience of operating in social housing management; and can demonstrate experience in:
- Leading a partnership between different services and successfully supporting a teams
- Working with key agencies to address anti-social and community safety issues experienced by residents.
- Actively engaging with residents to ensure that the service provided is resident focused.
- Effectively managing performance of a team with a view to increasing resident satisfaction with the ability to manage, organise and prioritise own workload and providing excellent customer care skills
- Working with local communities to improve estate services and reduce levels of nuisance/crime and improve customer satisfaction
- Community development and engagement
