About the role

The Commercial Property Administrative Support role at Haringey Council is responsible for providing essential administrative support to the Commercial Team. You will take responsibility for various support functions within the department, liaising with different areas and proprietary data-producing systems as necessary to assist with the effective day-to-day management of the commercial property portfolio. This includes calculating completion figures for new lettings and revised billing amounts following rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments, and terminations.

As an integral part of the team, you will proactively manage email inboxes and correspondence, prioritising and redirecting items as needed. You will also handle diary management for the team, effectively coordinating and scheduling meetings, events, and conference calls. This includes room bookings, attendee management, and detailed follow-up as necessary.

About the team

Our property team is a dynamic group dedicated to providing property-related information and responding to general correspondence on property matters, such as queries from existing tenants, new tenant applications, and other Council departments. We also handle requests for commercial property information from Councillors, members of the public, and agents.

We emphasise teamwork, attention to detail, and effective communication. Together, we play a vital role in supporting Placemaking and Housing operations and achieving their goals. About you

We are seeking a proactive individual with strong experience within a commercial property or estate agency department, private practice, or another client-side organisation. You will liaise with different areas and collaborate with accounting and finance departments to maintain accurate records and produce regular periodic and ad-hoc reports as required. You will also handle tenants’ queries regarding payments, refunds, and non-payment of rent and services, and negotiate and agree on payment arrangements as needed.

Additionally, the candidate should possess exceptional organisational skills, adeptly handling multiple tasks and prioritising them for optimal efficiency. Experience with standard office administration software, knowledge of property databases and accountancy systems, and the ability to format reports and documents are essential.
