About the role

This is an essential role for our busy legal service as it provides effective and comprehensive support to all legal teams and the operation of the service. The role is responsible for timely payments, raising purchase orders and contracts, keeping financial records, sorting incoming posts, ensuring office equipment is working and carry out a range of other supporting administrative tasks.

About the team

Legal Services is committed to public service and are called upon to advise on a range of legal matters. The Legal Business Support Team ensures that the Legal Services is fully supported with management information and record keeping, and the legal teams administrative needs are taken care of, and that legal staff can focus on the law. This is an exciting time to join a committed in-house team, which is delivering an efficient and high-quality legal service to enable the council to deliver its corporate priorities.

About you

You will be a proactive administrator who enjoys supporting others and strives for efficiencies and improvements. You will have good ICT skills, be organised and structured, and ideally have experience of managing financial transactions. You will have good communications skills and build a solid good relationship with suppliers and internal colleagues.
