About the Role

The Business Resilience and Assurance Programme Lead is responsible for the delivery of the Council’s Business Continuity Programme and for resilience assurance reporting both internally and to the London level.

This is a key, cross-cutting role in the Council, identifying business continuity risks, recommending mitigations, validating arrangements, and ensuring an ongoing commitment to the process to ensure essential business activities can be recovered and continued in the event of a business disruption.

In this interesting and varied role, you will work closely with Information Governance, IT, Legal and Audit and Risk Management and support Officers at all levels of the organisation to deliver their resilience responsibilities.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Business Resilience practitioner with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills providing confidence to senior management and who takes a collaborative approach to influencing and driving change.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, with a detailed and thorough knowledge of business continuity standards and good practice and the ability to interpret and apply these to business problems providing excellent advice and solutions for the Council.

You will possess strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated to work independently whilst also maintaining the flexibility to contribute to wider team and organisational goals.
