#ActuallyHaringey community Autism Hub is the Haringey resource centre for those young people approaching adulthood and adults with Autism. The Hub is an early help provision that offers information, advice guidance and support options to our Haringey residents.

About the Role

As the Autism hub coordinator, you will be part of a team whose overall aim is to improve the lives of autistic residents in Haringey and make Haringey an autism friendly borough.

This role will provide information, signposting and guidance to people accessing the autism hub, the Council’s resource centre for people with autism, as well as 1:1 and or group casework.

The community hub coordinator will help autistic people and their families connect with the services and opportunities they need to achieve positive health, wellbeing, employment and learning outcomes.

They will provide low level pastoral and emotional support in an Autism friendly environment.

They will coordinate and try to empower autistic residents to meet and offer each other peer support, whether online or in-person at the hub.

About You

We aim to recruit individuals that can show they have the following attributes:

  • Local applicants with experience working with autistic people and/or lived experience of autism.
  • Those who want to make Haringey an autism friendly borough; and who are enthusiastic to set up and run an inclusive and friendly autism hub.
  • We will consider applications that request part time work as part of a job share.
